How the Arts and Sport Promotion Fund collects, uses, and protects your personal information.
Who we are
The data controller is the Prime Minister's Office of Barbados, acting through the Accountant-General as administrator of the Fund (Cap 39 § 5(1)). Our Data Protection Officer is reachable via the DSAR intake form.
What we collect
- Identity (name, organisation, TIN, contact details)
- Programme and financial information you submit in your application
- Supporting documents you upload
- Communications between you, the Committee, and the Minister's office
Why we collect it
To assess applications, allocate funding, record disbursements, and produce the audit packets required under PFMA s. 77. Processing is grounded in DPA 2019-29 ss. 7–10 — a public-interest task carried out by a public authority.
Who sees it
The Prime Minister's Office (PMO), the ASPF Committee, the Minister and her office, the Accountant-General and her staff, and the Auditor-General. Cross-border transfers are subject to Commissioner-authorised SCCs under DPA ss. 22–27.
Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure (subject to retention requirements), restriction, objection, or portability via the DSAR form. We respond within 30 calendar days.
Retention
Application files are retained for the period required by the Public Archives Act and PFMA. Personal data is anonymised on the Public Showcase.
